Prayers of the Faithful - 28th February 2021
Let us turn to God our Father with confidence that our prayer will be heard as we celebrate this Second Sunday in Lent.
On this Sunday we think about the three disciples on top of a high mountain where Jesus revealed his glory, we pray that we may be honest in opening our hearts to God.
We thank God for the continuing decline in Covid infection rates across our world may we all continue to be patient and vigilant towards one another.
Friday is Women’s World Day of Prayer, we thank God for the role women play in our lives today and may that role be appreciated and respected more deeply in our society.
During this Lent we have been asked to pray for candidates preparing to receive Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation, for Women, for the Needy and the Hungry of the World, for Penitents and Wanderers. We commend them all to God’s loving protection.
We pray for ourselves and the whole Church as we journey through Lent. May we all find true forgiveness for our sins and give glory to God.
We commend ourselves to Mary’s loving protection: Hail Mary…..
